In apartment buildings, this important function is usually performed by central heating batteries, and in the private sector — autonomous heating boilers. There are also many different auxiliary devices, from oil heaters to modern convectors. And one of the new types of heaters that have appeared on sale relatively recently and have already won the respect of consumers are the so-called inverter devices. So what are they?

Varieties of inverter heaters for the home
There are the following types of inverter heaters:
- Electric inverter heater — powered by the mains, which is often more convenient for users. Electric inverter heaters are infrared. They differ from ordinary ones in that, due to the presence of an infrared emitter, they do not heat the air, like traditional appliances, but objects around them (floor and walls, furniture, etc.), which subsequently give off this heat to the surrounding space. We can say that an infrared heater is a directional device, since only those objects that fall into the zone of distribution of its infrared rays are heated. An infrared type inverter heater is used not only indoors, but even outdoors, to heat a space with a diameter of 6-10 m.
- Air conditioners equipped with a heat pump are also, in fact, inverter heaters. Due to the pressure difference, the freon circulating between the two units of the air conditioner condenses, that is, it turns from liquid to gaseous. Inverter devices have variable cooling and heating power, since they convert the AC supply voltage to DC, which leads to a gradual change in the frequency of the device. Thus, the temperature is adjusted at the inlet and outlet of the indoor unit of the inverter air conditioner. As you can see, the principle of operation of such a heater is simple and at the same time environmentally friendly, there is no fuel combustion process, and, accordingly, no harmful emissions.
Advantages and disadvantages of inverter heaters
Each device has its own small disadvantages, which should be considered when buying. After all, like any product, inverter-type heaters have disadvantages. The most important of them is the high price, which noticeably distinguishes these devices from other types of heaters (oil radiators, gas convectors, etc.). In addition, inverter air conditioners are voltage sensitive devices. As for the advantages, the inverter heater is characterized by:
- low noise level: ensured due to the frequency of work with partial load;
- high performance: good ratio of heat released to energy consumed;
- efficiency: additional energy is not spent on turning the device on and off;
- durability: when starting electrical appliances, the current does not exceed the nominal values;
- safety.
