Repair is a process that is famil­iar to every­one. This event is car­ried out sys­tem­at­i­cal­ly, and we observe it almost dai­ly. There­fore, it is already a com­mon thing in our dai­ly life. The word “repair” is bor­rowed from French (remon­ter) and in the orig­i­nal lan­guage means to restore. Hav­ing already opened mod­ern dic­tio­nar­ies, the inter­pre­ta­tion of this word is as fol­lows: this is the imple­men­ta­tion of a wide (or insignif­i­cant) set of mea­sures aimed at per­form­ing a par­tial or com­plete restora­tion of an object. The main types of repairs of buildings and structures

In order to under­stand in more detail what repair is and to under­stand its fea­tures, it is nec­es­sary to deter­mine what types of it exist. Dif­fer­ent sources pro­vide dif­fer­ent clas­si­fi­ca­tions of repair types. But it is still pos­si­ble to stream­line the ter­mi­nol­o­gy.

Among the exist­ing types of repair, I sin­gle out three:

A com­plex over­haul, as the name sug­gests, is a com­plex process. Name­ly, the per­for­mance of con­struc­tion work, which is aimed at replac­ing struc­tur­al ele­ments, chang­ing their style solu­tion. To be more pre­cise, this is the fol­low­ing range of repairs: the instal­la­tion of a mul­ti-lev­el ceil­ing, the con­struc­tion of var­i­ous struc­tures that serve as decor, the trans­fer of door and win­dow open­ings to the desired loca­tion, the con­struc­tion of podi­ums on the floor, mak­ing nich­es in the walls, mak­ing arched open­ings and oth­er ele­ments .

Con­sid­er­ing these two types of repairs (cur­rent and major), we can iden­ti­fy sev­er­al con­tra­dic­tions that often arise among those who decide to under­stand the fea­tures of repair work. This type of repair is much eas­i­er to dis­tin­guish from the pre­vi­ous two. Under the repair work dur­ing the recon­struc­tion means the restruc­tur­ing of already con­struct­ed facil­i­ties in order to improve their appear­ance and give a high­er lev­el of qual­i­ty. A pre­req­ui­site for recon­struc­tion is the preser­va­tion of load-bear­ing and enclos­ing struc­tures. To car­ry out the recon­struc­tion process, the oper­a­tional work of the facil­i­ty is sus­pend­ed. If we talk about the dif­fer­ences from the over­haul and cur­rent repairs, then the recon­struc­tion has car­di­nal dis­tin­guish­ing fea­tures. Dur­ing the recon­struc­tion process, it is allowed to make changes to the dimen­sions of the build­ing or premis­es, that is, rede­vel­op­ment is car­ried out. It is impor­tant to have a work­ing draft of the recon­struc­tion, which includes all cal­cu­la­tions and detailed draw­ings. Some­times a blue­print is used. That is, recon­struc­tion is the same major over­haul, but in a more com­plex form, where work is car­ried out to shift par­ti­tions, com­bine rooms and oth­er build­ing restruc­tur­ing.

Please note that when car­ry­ing out any type of repair, high-qual­i­ty ven­ti­la­tion must be orga­nized. This is nec­es­sary so that all the activ­i­ties car­ried out are car­ried out in com­fort, and the restora­tion work done retains its appear­ance for a long time, with­out being exposed to prob­lems asso­ci­at­ed with poor ven­ti­la­tion of the room.
